  • Yarn needle
  • Scissors

Instructions:

Main bib:

  1. With main color, ch 60.
  2. Row 1: Sc in the second ch from the hook and in each ch across. (59 sc)
  3. Rows 2-30: Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across. (59 sc)
  4. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Reindeer applique:

  1. With contrast color, ch 6.
  2. Row 1: Sc in the second ch from the hook and in each ch across. (5 sc)
  3. Row 2: Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across. (5 sc)
  4. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Attaching the applique:

  1. Place the reindeer applique in the center of the bib, about 3" from the top edge.
  2. Using a yarn needle and contrast color, sew the applique in place.

Finishing:

  1. Fold the bib in half, with the wrong sides together.
  2. Sew the two sides together, leaving a 3" opening at the center for the neck.
  3. Turn the bib right side out and press flat.

Tips:

  • You can use any worsted weight yarn for this project.
  • If you want to make a larger or smaller bib, simply adjust the number of chains you start with.
  • You can also embellish the bib with other appliques, such as snowflakes, hearts, or stars.
